Rosberg eyes strong showing in Hungary
July 29th, 2010Nico Rosberg has insisted that despite enduring a frustrating time at Hockenheim, he remains excited by the prospect of this weekend’s Hungarian Grand Prix.
The Mercedes GP PETRONAS man explained that the Hungaroring circuit provides a technical challenge to the drivers, but he insisted that it is an enjoyable experience.
Rosberg added that because overtaking is so difficult, qualifying is "really important and you need to start from as high up the grid as possible".
He commented: "Qualifying hasn’t been our strong point recently so we will be working hard on our preparations over the weekend to give us the best chance in the race."
The German said that having enjoyed a fourth place finish at the Hungaroring last year, it would be nice to be competing towards the front of the pack this weekend.
Rosberg currently lies in sixth position in the drivers’ standings on 94 points, while fellow Mercedes GP PETRONAS driver Michael Schumacher sits in ninth.
