"Together with the AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sports transmission, we have reduced both fuel consumption and emissions significantly - while at the same time increasing output and torque."
The manufacturer explained that over the coming year, the new AMG 5.5-litre V8 biturbo engine will play a significant role in the Mercedes-AMG model strategy.
Indeed, the new engine/transmission combination marks a milestone in the history of Mercedes-AMG, which dates back to 1967.
