Mercedes GP PETRONAS drivers eighth and ninth fastest in Hungarian Grand Prix practice
July 30th, 2010Mercedes GP PETRONAS’ Nico Rosberg and Michael Schumacher finished in eight and ninth respectively in the opening practice session for this weekend’s Hungarian Grand Prix.
However, Schumacher endured an unusual time when prior to the start of the session, his car came to a halt in the pit-lane.
He did, though, recover his composure to record a time of 1:22.792 and achieve a respectable position in the overall standings.
Rosberg, meanwhile, finished one place ahead of his team-mate in a time of 1:22.777.
Seven-time World Champion Schumacher recently conceded that he was disappointed by the team’s performance in Germany last weekend.
However, he insisted that he will enter the race at the Hungaroring with a "positive feeling".
The 41-year-old added that having had more time to understand upgrades made to the his MGP W01 car, he hopes to see improvements over the next few races in the Formula One calander.
