Hamilton ready to overtake rivals
Lewis Hamilton is hoping to continue his dominance at the British Grand Prix and break away from his rivals in the Formula One World Championship.
A win at the German Grand Prix in Hockenheim this Sunday would send Hamilton clear at the top of the table and after enjoying the support of the crowd at Silverstone, he is hoping to feed off the same energy.
The German Grand Prix is Vodafone McLaren Mercedes’ second home race of the season and Hamilton is desperate to get a result.
"The support we get in Germany is amazing and it would be great to have a one-two," he said.
"I think that our car is quick everywhere," the driver said while speaking at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
He also claimed his rivals were "on the back foot" after his win in Silverstone and was confident that Vodafone McLaren Mercedes had the best car over the last few races.
