Goodwood Revival Review
September 19, 2011
Goodwood Revival really is an event like no other. Once through the admission gates the ‘modern world’ is forgotten as you become enveloped in the nostalgic time capsule of the 1940s, 50s and 60s where Goodwood Motor Circuit used to be ranked as Britain’s leading racing venue.
With the circuit restored and unchanged from its heyday, authenticity is key to the event’s organisers – and the crowd didn’t fail to do their part with an imaginative array of period attire on display.
The eclectic mix of classic cars and motorcycles that took to the race track to compete throughout the weekend created a truly exhilarating spectacle. The crowd were left in awe by the diverse range of models competing in a host of races which also saw classic motorcycles take to the track and aviation displays such as the spitfires take to the sky.
The combination of classic cars and crowd participation ensure that Goodwood Revival is undoubtedly the biggest and best historic motor racing event of the year.
