The new B-Class – Impeccable safety standards
December 21, 2011
At Mercedes-Benz safety has always been a top priority, and the all-new B-Class makes no exception. Awarded 5 Euro NCAP stars for safety, as well as complying with even stricter US standards, the new Mercedes-Benz B-Class is one of the safest cars in its segment.
Equipped for the first time with the innovative Collision Prevention Assist and Attention Assist as standard on all models, this intelligent model boasts no less than ten advanced assistance systems.
Collision Prevention Assist is a radar-based collision warning system that recognises when you get too close to a vehicle or object in front, alerting you via visual and acoustic warnings. This pioneering technology can buy you valuable reaction time, helping reduce the likelihood and severity of collisions. Meanwhile, Attention Assist measures 72 different indicators and is designed to detect typical signs of driver fatigue and warns you to take a break.
In addition to an array of airbags and a tyre pressure loss warning system, the new
B-Class also features Pre-Safe®, Lane Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Assist and Speed Limit Assist as further options.
With such impeccable safety standards – the new B-Class is not just a pleasure to drive; it’s a pleasure to have on the road.
