Mercedes-Benz PGA Championship review
August 14, 2012

This weekend has seen Rory McIlroy achieve his second major victory, winning the 94th PGA Championship.

McIlroy described his win as ‘phenomenal’, and praised the lush green of the Ocean Course at Kiawah Island, South Carolina. He admitted he ‘had a good feeling’ before the Championship, and his dominating performance that saw him win by a landslide certainly proved him right.

Mercedes-Benz Golf Ambassador Adam Scott put in a strong performance at the PGA Championship, finishing two under par, next to his practice buddy Tiger Woods.

Scott was a little frustrated with his position on the leaderboard and felt he didn’t play at his best, particularly with the strong winds that are characteristic of the famous course. He admitted that McIlroy’s incredible game was a tough act to beat and that he had enjoyed the event.

As the proud patron of PGA of America, Mercedes-Benz is honoured to provide the official vehicle to the PGA Championship. We congratulate all the players that took part and appreciate the encouragement of the more than 250,000 strong audience.
