Mercedes-Benz CL63 AMG is a ‘wolf in sheep’s clothing’
June 29, 2011

The new Mercedes-Benz CL63 AMG is a “wolf in sheep’s clothing” as its luxury ride appearance gives way to an engine that will “eat anything it wants along the highway”.

That is according to Roger Hart, the Executive Editor of Auto Week, who also noted that the seven-speed gearbox ensures that the driver is always in the sweet spot.

He added that lane-departure control and night vision tools mean the car gives people everything they could desire.

Mr Hart believes that the car cannot be judged on its exterior alone.

“Nice wheels, big tires, sleek appearance. Under the hood lies the wolf, ready to pounce and eat anything it wants along the highway,” he explained.

“Having this much horsepower underfoot is truly addicting, and I only need a short period of time to fully drink the Kool-Aid.”

Mark Rainford observed last week (June 17th) that a new upright grille and LED running lights are among the key features on the Mercedes-Benz SLK 63 AMG.
