Mercedes-Benz Concept Style Coupé: the style rebel
April 25, 2012
Nonconformist, provocative and masculine – the Concept Style Coupé from Mercedes-Benz sets a new benchmark for design in the compact coupé segment.
Celebrating its official world premiere at Auto China in Beijing from 23 April – 2 May, the four-door coupé was hailed ‘the physical expression of our dynamic design idiom’, by Gorden Wagener, Head of Design at Mercedes-Benz.
Packed with cutting-edge technology including: striking headlamps that shine red in standby mode, the new four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with 211 hp, and the all-wheel drive system 4MATIC – the Concept Style Coupé is both powerful and expressive in its design.
Taking style cues from the new A-Class, which is set for launch in 2012, the Concept Style Coupé exudes sportiness. On the exterior, a striking diamond-look grille and defined sculptural lines create a dynamic profile, while on the inside; avantgarde styling is combined with high-grade materials, finishes and workmanship.
Sporting a dashboard fitted with jet engine-like air vents that change colour according to the climate control setting, plus an array of innovative concepts such as COMAND Online synced with customised smartphone apps for use while on the move, the Concept Style Coupé is the epitome of Mercedes-Benz philosophy in terms of design and technology.
Add in exemplary efficiency and sporty driving dynamics, and the Concept Style Coupé excels on all counts.
